Essential Oils

Although essential oils are strictly not a part of Classical Chinese Medicine, they are very complimentary.  Their effect is direct unlike herbs, which need to pass through the digestive system or injected medicines which are processed by the liver or kidney.  Essential oils are absorbed directly into the skin and into the blood stream.  Oils can be used in diffusers, topically, as individual oils or in blends.  The oils create different effects because of their aromas, chemical constituents and their natures.
